POWER 107.5/106.3 and LaGrande 102.5 hosted the Urban One Back to School Celebration, Saturday August 17th, at the Westgate Community Center— a vibrant community event sponsored by Buckeye Law Group and Nationwide Children’s Hospital! The celebration provided over 500 backpacks and essential school supplies to students, making sure they are well-prepared for the upcoming school year. Columbus kiddos and parents were able to participate in fun activities, including Spin the Wheel, Plinko, several raffles and more. A few lucky winners took home top prizes like a laptop, JBL speaker, and Fire TV. Kids enjoyed temporary tattoos, while families explored booths from Man on a Mission, Columbus Metropolitan Library, and Road to Success Academy. The event was brought to live by a 35 ft obstacle course bounce house, courtesy of Black Cats Dumpsters, and the exciting stilt-walking performances by The Amazing Giants, adding a touch of magic to the day!
