Maurice Clarett Closer To Returning To The Turf

Former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett is a step closer to returning to the gridiron. A few months after being released from prison a Franklin County judge Wednesday granted Clarett’s request to travel to a tryout with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. Clarett, cannot leave the state without permission from the court after pleading guilty in 2006 to aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
