Let’s go back to 2002, when Mario released his self titled debut album, he took over the R&B scene at just 15 with his hit single “Just a Friend 2002”.. sampling the legendary Biz Markie. With that, he cemented his place in music. He continued his success with later albums like “Turning Point” in 2004 with hits like “Let Me Love You” which became his first US #1 and international hit.

Mario has continued to grow and expand beyond music onto the big screen as well. He has been featured in shows and movies like, Style Me For Christmas, Empire, Freedom Writers, and Step Up!

These days Mario has found himself back on the center stage, on tour with the GOAT, Mary J. Blige and Ne-yo, a new album just released this past December and his headlining album tour starts in a matter of weeks.

Our own, Bo$$ Babe Breeze had the opportunity to catch up with Mario backstage during a For My Fans tour stop in Columbus, Ohio. He dishes on his love for his craft, his new music, and why The Masked Singer was an amazing experience!
