The woman who made the 911 call that led to the fatal police chase of Young Scooter has been arrested.
Demetria Spence, 31, was arrested and charged with transmitting a false public alarm. In a statement, Atlanta PD confirmed Spence’s arrest:
On April 1st, 2025, 31-year-old Demetria Spence was taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department and charged with Transmitting a False Public Alarm under O.C.G.A. 16-10-28, subsection (d)(2) “If serious bodily harm or death results from the response of a public safety agency.”
Ms. Spence was wanted for her involvement in making a false 911 call regarding a person injured/deceased incident that occurred at 273 William Nye Drive SE on March 28th, 2025. Ms. Spence was transported to the Fulton County Jail for processing.
The arrest comes after the woman, who goes by the name “Demi Blanco,” went on Instagram Live on Tuesday (Apr. 1), claiming she was being treated unfairly by social media users angry over Scooter’s death.
Spence, a contestant on the Zeus Network show Baddies, claims that she called 911 to “protect herself,” a complete contradiction from her original story on the call, claiming she saw a naked woman being beaten outside the home on William Nye Drive in Southeast Atlanta.
Spence claimed that she was the one getting abused “multiple times” and said, “I never had any intentions to get anybody hurt. I was the one getting hurt.”
Spence was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Tuesday after a four-day search.
Prior to the arrest, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office officially ruled Scooter’s death an “accident.” According to the preliminary findings of their autopsy, obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta, Scooter suffered an injury to the right thigh, causing significant blood loss. “Mr. Bailey injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing material and/or woody debris after vaulting at least one fence,” the report reads.
