Authorities are investigating a robbery involving a Brinks armored truck that took place Wednesday morning in west Columbus.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the robbery occurred around 9:15AM at a convenience store on 2800 Valley View Road, near North Hague Avenue. While the Brinks driver was inside servicing an ATM, a male suspect ran up behind him, grabbed a bag containing an undisclosed amount of money, and fled in a gray sedan.

Authorities have deployed drones to assist in the search for the suspect. No injuries were reported.
