PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Mexican government says all those onboard the air ambulance jet that crashed in Philadelphia Friday night were Mexican nationals.
In a post on X, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced it was ready to provide support to relatives of the six passengers onboard the flight. Two of the victims were a mother and child who had traveled to the U.S. for medical treatment.
At least one person on the ground was also killed, and 19 people were injured and are being treated at area hospitals. The crash and resulting fireball even caused nearby homes to catch fire.
The company operating the plane, Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, said it couldn’t confirm any survivors after the aircraft crashed near a Philadelphia mall.
The NTSB is leading the investigation into this incident, and is also expected to issue a preliminary report within 30 days after the crash of a passenger jet and a helicopter Wednesday night.
