Janet Jackson announced today that she will be kicking off a residency of her own in the tempting town of Las Vegas! She teased the news in celebration of the 30th anniversary of her smash hit “Rhythm Nation”!

The residency will begin with 15 exclusive dates in Sin City. Jackson has dubbed her show as “Metamorphosis” and will begin mid May at the Park MGM resort.

She plans to give audiences a full spectrum look into all that is Miss Jackson. She has always been known to keep a certain level of privacy about her not so private life. The show will flow through the multifaceted life of Janet, highlighting her transformation from little lady to worldwide icon!

A statement about the show says, “The centerpiece of this all new thought-provoking show, will be Janet herself, captivating you through your senses with electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts… Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges faced along her personal journey.”

Janet, who has been completely fulfilled with her motherhood journey, dropped a single for the first time in 3 years last March entitled “Made for Now”.

She will be joining a diverse list of talent holding down residencies in Vegas including Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga. This year Drake, Christina Aguilera and Cardi B also announced new residencies this year. Audiences will certainly be entertained this summer!
