The rapper explains why he plead guilty to gun charges even though he was innocent.
We all have heard stories about people pleading guilty to a crime or charge just to avoid a harsh sentence. Kevin Gates can be added to that growing list of people.

According to the Baton Rouge rapper, he explains in an interview with Sway Calloway why he would plead guilty to something he didn’t do.
“They allegedly say I got caught with a firearm. I was innocent but I pled guilty to that charge because I was like you know, a lot of times you can beat the charge, but you can’t beat the ride,”” he revealed. “I probably would have sat another three or four years just fighting the charge.”
Gates was released from prison earlier this year after serving sentences in Florida and Illinois.
