Coming out of Houston with a hardcore party rap sound akin to the work of Gucci Mane, rapper Chedda da Connect hit in 2014 after he released a steady stream of mixtapes. With producer Fred On Em behind the boards, Chedda released the singles “Flicka da Wrist” and “Why Not?” in 2014, the two tracks sourced from his Catchin Playz 2 mixtape. The mixtape also featured a guest appearance from UGK member Bun B.
